Conformance target
We design and build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time certification, and we review the site regularly.
What we've built in
- Full keyboard operability across the site and the QR generator, including a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- A "skip to content" link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users.
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and heading structure for reliable screen reader navigation.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative icons hidden from assistive technology.
- Color combinations checked for sufficient contrast, and information that is never conveyed by color alone.
- Respect for your operating system's "reduce motion" preference — animations are minimized or removed automatically.
- Form fields with associated labels, clear error messages, and no reliance on placeholder text as the only label.
- A live status region on the QR generator so screen reader users hear when a code has been created or an error occurs.
Known limitations
The QR code preview itself is a visual image by nature and cannot be meaningfully described to a screen reader beyond confirming that a code was generated; the status text next to it announces success or error state instead.
