Why we built a QR code generator

Most "free" QR code tools quietly attach tracking, require an account after your third code, or watermark your download until you upgrade. We wanted a tool that just does the one job well: turn a link or a piece of text into a scannable code, with no catch.

That is why the generator runs entirely in your browser. There is no server round-trip for the content you encode, no database of "your" codes, and nothing to log even if we wanted to.

What makes a QR code actually reliable

A QR code that looks correct on screen can still fail to scan once it is printed small, laminated, or placed on a curved surface. We built in adjustable error correction, sensible default sizing, and contrast-aware color pickers so codes generated here hold up in the real world, not just on a monitor.

Accessibility and standards
